FAQs
Is the store really closed? Can I just stop by and look around?
Yes - Abizak's really is closed. We closed our Fenwick location on September 29th, 2007 and the downtown Rehoboth Abizak's is closed as well.
I bought a bedroom (living room - office - dining room) set a few years ago and want to add an item... where do I go now to get these things?
We have a separate page setup for you to see links to all our key vendors and manufacturers. Click here to be taken to that page and then you can use their individual websites to locate the nearest dealer to you or contact them directly.
What if my existing furniture gets damaged and I need help? Who can help me if you close?
We have worked with John Franklin of Franklin Furniture Repair for many years and we highly recommend his services. You can reach him by calling 302-678-1931. If you need parts he can usually work with you and the vendors (see their website links here) to order what you need.
What about warranties and parts for repair? How will I get those?
If you contact John from Franklin Furniture Repair (302-678-1931) he can assist you with ordering parts and warranty work. Most of our manufacturers are very generous and willing to help at no charge for reasonable requests but occasionally there may be a nominal fee for things like fabric yardage, a new table leg, a dresser drawer or the like.
So, would you recommend any stores as a replacement for Abizak's?
This is a tough one, and one we're asked a lot. Locally there are no stores carrying our lines due to naturally occurring distribution protection while we were open. As well, a store is more than its product alone - it is the staffing and ownership and policies and reputation... If we are to recommend a store we would first need to know its people and have experienced its service. Since we've had no experience with any local stores we feel it would be irresponsible and unfair for us to suggest one over the other. The best and most fair answer is to suggest that you go to Google and search for contemporary furniture stores in your area (by zip code is usually best) and then ask your friends what their experiences have been.
